FURTHER, DUE TO THE <br />COMPLEXITY OF THE PERMIT AREA, GEOLOGY, PRESENCE OF LANDSLIDES <br />AND STEEP SLOPES, AND SENSITIVE HYDROLOGIC ELEMENTS, MCC IS <br />DIRECTED TO SUBMIT A PROPOSED SUBSIDENCE MONITORING REPORT <br />FORMAT TO THE DIVISION FOR APPROVAL. THIS REPORT FORMAT SHOULD <br />RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTINUAL UPDATE OF SUBSIDENCE DATA <br />INTERPRETATION, MONITORING OR GROUND WATER LEVELS AND SPRING <br />FLOW, MONITORING OF MINE INFLOW, AND SUBSURFACE GROUND <br />CONDITIONS WHICH COULD BE CORRELATED TO SUBSIDENCE PREDICTION. <br />THIS REPORT FORMAT SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE DIVISION PRIOR TO <br />THE COMMENCEMENT OF EXTRACTION OF COAL WITHIN THE SUBSIDENCE <br />TEST PANEL DESIGNATED IN APPENDIX A TO MCC'S NOVEMBER 1984 <br />PERMIT REVISION APPLICATION (PANEL 1W-15). <br />April 11. 1988: Semi-Annual Subsidence report submitted with <br />surveys for the period April 1985-September <br />1987. <br />December 23. 1988: Semi-Annual Subsidence report submitted with <br /> surveys for the period June and September 1988. <br />March 2. 1990: Semi-Annual Subsidence report submitted with <br /> surveys for the period July and October 1989. <br />November 28. 1990: Semi-Annual Subsidence report submitted with <br /> surveys for the period June and October 1990. <br />January 1, 1992; Christine Johnston of the Division takes over <br /> the West Elk Mine as lead specialist. <br />June 1. 1992: Division adequacy Review letter for West Elk <br /> permit renewal. The Division at a previous <br /> date determined that Stipulation 17 could be <br /> terminated because it had been incorporated <br /> into the permit. However, due to the <br /> reorganization of the permit (TR 59) this <br /> requirement was no longer included in the <br /> permit.
