In this respect we
request additional time in which to contact other companies or in ,
which to receive a letter of credit from one of the local banks in
lieu of the bond. We realize your letter states that an acceptable
surety must be submitted no later than October 31, 1977, however
during the thirty days since the consent agreement and your letter had
been forwarded to Hart Rok Redi Mixt Concrete, Inc., the company has
made a concerted effort in obtaining a surety, all of which has been
without success except for one or two companies which will require a
cash collateral of the total bond amount in order to underwrite the
bond.
Perhaps you can advise us of companies which are currently
underwriting this bond, which companies may be willing to afford
Hart Rok Redi Mixt Concrete the surety protection which you require.
Flould you kindly respond to our request at your early
convenience, and in making your decision, we trust you can appreciate
the dilemma that this company is faced with and the fact that this
company has made every effort to comply with the law.
Sincerely,
KAB/tq
enc.
Kenneth A.
