Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has received your application for the "Nicholson Gravel Pit", <br />110c to 112c Permit Conversion. Listed below are the Division's adequacy review comments for this <br />application. The Division is required to make a recommendation to the Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board no later than Mazch 2, 2004, therefore, your response to the following adequacy review <br />concerns should be received by the Division by February 20, 2004. <br />1. Exhibit E Reclamation Plan <br />The applicant states in this plan that the seed mix will include 1 pound of blue grass. The Division <br />does not recommend the use ofblue grass for range land reclamation purposes. Did the applicant <br />mean to specify blue grama? Please clarify this issue. Enclosed is a copy of a recommended seed <br />mix for the Nicholson Gravel Pit, sent to the Division by the Morgan Conservation District. If the <br />applicant so desires they could commit to using this mix. <br />2. Exhibit G Water Information <br />Enclosed are copies of comments from the Corps of Engineers and the Office of the State <br />Engineer. The applicant should review these comments and determine if any responses are <br />required. <br />3. As noted in the Division's letter of December 3, 2003, to Mr. Bruce Johnson, with a cc to Randy <br />Schafer, proof of notice in a newspaper and proof of mailings must be submitted to the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology prior to the decision date. <br />Office of Office of Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Arrive and Inactive Mines Geological Survey <br />
