PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Mine and Mill; P.O. Box 68, Empire, Colorado <br />80438, has filed an application for an Amendment to its approved Reclamation Permit with the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under provisions of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Act. The proposed Amendment: 1) delete, in entirety, Area 23 -Lost Creek <br />Reservoir area, from the Pem>it; 2) change the underlying post-mining land use for the entire. <br />Permit to "Rangeland", with noted exceptions; 3) change two building sites at the mine site to <br />"IndustriaUCommercial", allowing two specific buildings to remain in place for possible use by <br />Cleaz Creek Cou~y; and 4) change the reclamation plan and post-mining land use for the tailings <br />impoundment from a dry cover and "open forest" to a partial wet cover with "Developed Water <br />Resource" for that portion that is wetted. The location is multiple section portions in Township <br />2 and 3 South, Ranges 77 and 78 West, 6th Principal Meridian, Grand County, Colorado <br />The proposed date of effect for this Amendment is approximately April 17, 2003. There is no <br />construction or change in mining plan associated with this Amendment. Additional information <br />and tentative decision date may be obtained from the Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567, at the Henderson Mine <br />office, or at the Clerk and Recorder's offices of Grand County (Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado} <br />and Clear Creek County (Georgetown, Colorado). <br />Comments must be in writing and must be received by the Division of Minerals and Geology by <br />March 13, 2003. (20 days following last day of publication.) <br />
