Tatum <br />8703 Bon Hommc <br />Houston, Texas 77074 <br />Via Certified Mail 0026 5862 4938 <br />Dear Mr. Tatum: <br />Tltis letter is to notify you, as an adjacent landowner, that Basin Resources, Inc., 3800 County Road 63.9, <br />Trinidad, Colorado 81082, the operator of Golden Eagle Mine Permit number C-81-013, is filing for <br />Phase [I Bond release with the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology. Permit C-81-O13 <br />was issued by the Division on July 26, 2000. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine is located in Sections 20, 21, 28 & 29, T735, R67W. A total of 59 acres of <br />surface disturbance from mining is covered by a Coal Reclamation Bond in the amount of 5477,085. The <br />permittce is applying for and Division guidelines allow for the release of up to 85°/. of the total bond <br />amount in a Phase I! Bond release. ~ <br />The Golden Eagle Mine ceased production on December 3l, 1995. Phase 1 bond release (removal of <br />structures and final grading) was approved on March 1 ], 1998. In accordance with the approved <br />ttclantation plan and as required for Phase 11 bond release, a vegetation assessment of the reclamation <br />areas was completed in July of 2000 during the third growing season. <br />Any written commettls, objections or requests for a public hearing or infortnzl conference regarding this <br />bond release application must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 within 30 days from the date of receipt of this notice. <br />Sin rc..P,C <br />Ronald G.
