Stipulation #2 listed in Case #PRJ2001-00060 reads: The Canditiamal Use Petnrit shall expire on March 78, 2007. Lafarge is submitting this request for major amendment to extend the expiration date to Mazch 18, 2012. Lafarge had previously submitted a tequest for minor amendment on April 13, 2006. Your department determined the appropriate process fox this request is a major amendment, as stated in a ]etter of May 10, 2006 from Mr. Dennis Bell. The request to revise stipulation #2 is due to the fact that preparatory activities were not able to begin at this site until October 2005 due to a number of factors, including economic conditions and delays at our neazby Mann Lake Pit. Lafazge is still committed to completing this project within a 5- yeaz window as originally approved by Adams County, but this amount of time must be allowed to complete the project as originally presented and approved. The power lines at Mann Lake were removed on May 2006 and Lafarge is in the process of completing its obligations on this property. However, this will delay significant misting activity at Stagecoach until early 2007. The attached packet (40 copies) contains additional details supporting our request.
