COOLEY RESERVOII2 AND FULTON WILDLIFE AREA PIT <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 - JERONIMUS PROPERTY <br />EXHIBIT E -RECLAMATION PLAN <br />This area of Amendment No. 1 is expected to be the final phase of the operation, and is intended to <br />preserve existing open space/wildlife preserve areas in their natural state and create new open <br />space/wildlife preserve areas. Areas that are not mined or disturbed will be left "as is". These areas <br />will not be regraded or revegetated, but instead be preserved in their existing state. Within 1 year <br />after all mining is completed, all disturbed areas and reclaimed slopes above those areas proposed for <br />wetlands establishment shall be covered with 6"-12" + of topsoil prior to seeding. Any hard packed <br />areas shall be scarified prior to the placement of topsoil and seeding. After backfilling, g.*ading of any <br />area to final slopes, and placement of topsoil, seeding will be initiated as soon as possible. Maximum <br />steepness of all slopes shall be 3H to 1 V. <br />After placement of stored topsoil, areas not proposed for wetland revegetation areas shall be <br />revegetated with non-irrigated grasses per the Cooley Reservoir Mix B from NRCS 01/28/03 letter <br />to create uplands copied in EXHIBIT J -VEGETATION INFORMATION. This grass seeding shall <br />consist of the following: <br />SPECIES VARIETY PLS# PERCENT PLS#/AC <br />Pubescent wheatgrass Luna 9.0 20.0 I.8 <br />Western wheatgrass Arriba or Barton 8.0 30.0 2.4 <br />Blue grama Hachita or Covington 1.5 10.0 0.2 <br />Sideoats grama Vaughn or Butte 4.5 30.0 1.4 <br />For wetlands creation, partial reclamation will begin with the backfilling of sediments created during <br />the processing of the mined sand and gravel. At the termination of mining, at least 50% of the <br />presently exposed lake area is expected to been bac~lled to a level to support wetland vegetation <br />at the conclusion of all mining. Interim planting of wetlands vegetation shall be undertaken, whenever <br />a minimum of 5 acres has been filled to within 3' to 5' above the original lake surface. Created <br />wetlands in excess of what is required to be created per an approved Corp of Engineer's 404 Permit <br />on this property may be utilized as replacement wetlands on others sites in accordance with approved <br />Corp of Engineer's 404 permits on other sites. <br />
