The
following is our response.
Water Storage Reservoir
We will maintain the slopes of the reservoir at no steeper than 3:1 as requested.
Topsoil
We will follow the recommendations set forth by the NRCS for topsoil stockpiling and
reseeding.
Reclamation Re-Vegetation
We will follow the recommendations set forth by the NRCS for re-vegetation. This includes the
species as set forth in Table A and weed control. As requested by DMG we aze also submitting a
weed control program.
Surface and Subsurface Water.
Brannan believes that this water storage reservoir will become a significant benefit to the people
and water resources of Adams County. The reservoir will provide a dependable water supply in
an era of dwindling water resources and storage.
The de-watering will not occur until the slurry wall is complete. This will effectively isolate the
dewatering from the groundwater, protecting the groundwater levels from drawdown inside the
slurry wall. Since there will be no drawdown outside the slurry wall, we expect no impact to the
wetlands. The slurry wall technology has become an effective method of preventing injury to
water rights and wetlands.
Since there will be no connection between the reservoir and the aquifer, there will be no loss of
ground water due to the evaporation. The water used to fill the reservoirs will
6020 Greenwood Plazz Boulevard, Greenwood Village, CO 80111
303-740.9393 • Aax: 30372]-9019 • www.jrenginee~ng.wm
