SHELTON, Director <br />DATE: May 18, 1987 <br />T0: Mr. Jesse Crow <br />FROM: Richard Parachini, Reclamation Specialist <br />RE: File No. M-87-082 - Adequacy Items <br />The f~~llowing items must be addressed by the applicant in order to satisfy the <br />appli~:able requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101 et seq. and the Mineral Rules and <br />Regul+itions of the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />A) Exhibit A - Legal Description <br />1. The legal description and the site location on Exhibit E do not <br />correspond. Is the site actually the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of <br />Section 32, Township 6 South, Range 64 West of Elbert County? <br />B) Exhibit B - Site Description <br />1. Please clarify whether the stream is perennial or ephemeral at this <br />location. <br />2. Please provide a copy of the Division of Wildlife site review prior <br />to the scheduled Board meeting. <br />3. The mining plan map portrays the irrigation well in the stream <br />bottom. Is this correct? <br />4. Please protray the actual stream channel on the mining map. <br />C. Exhibit C - Mining Plan <br />1. The pit access road should be included in the permitted acreage if <br />the road is to be constructed as part of the mining operation. <br />2. Upon completion of mining and reclamation, will a pond remain in the <br />stream channel? If yes, the operator needs to state how large the <br />pond will be in acres, provide 3:1 (horizontal, vertical) pond <br />slopes as per rule 6.1, and portray the pond on the reclamation plan <br />map. <br />D. Public Notification <br />1. Please provide a copy of the newspaper proof of publication and <br />proof of landowner and adjacent landowners notification prior to the <br />scheduled Board meeting. <br />2.
