BOX 758
GREELEY. COLORAI70 80632
This is a follow-up to our telephone conversation on the status of WCR 18 being identified es a
collector status road.
WCR 18 is designated on the Weld County Road Class cation Plan (FHU) as a collector status
road, which requires an 80-foot right-of--way at full build out. There is presently a 60-foot dght-0f-
way. The road is maintained by Weld County. Pursuant to the definition of SETBACK in the Weld
County Code, Chapter 23, Article III, Section 23-3-50, the required setback is measured from the
future right~f--way line.
The future right-of--way line would be measured from the section fine or road cenfedlne for a
distance of approximately 40 feet. An additional 20-foot setback is also required in an agricultural
zone prior to any mining, for a total of at least 60-feat.
The Weld County Public Works Department does not make it a practice of signing the setback
agreement until the applicant has completed the USR process with Weld County,
I'm looking forward to worlking with you on your amendments t0 the existing USR-1255 located on
WCR 18 directly west of US Highway 85.
Sincerely,
~~ ~~~
Donald Carroll
Engineering Administrator
Pc: Planning Services
Keith Meyer.
