This item will not be formally considered at the February 26-27, <br /> 1997 meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation Board. Instead, the receipt of this extension <br /> request will be noted in the monthly activity report appended to the agenda. Custer County <br /> has been notified of the Division's receipt of the temporary cessation request. However, if the <br /> Division receives letters of concern from interested persons, this item will be presented to the <br /> Board at the March 26-27, 1997 meeting. <br /> Please be aware of Rule 1.13.9 which states: <br /> "In no case shall temporary cessation be continued for more than ten years without <br /> terminating the mining operation and fully complying with the reclamation plan <br /> requirements of the act and these rules". <br /> Annual reports and fees will continue to be required to be submitted on or before the permit <br /> anniversary date each year. <br /> If you have any questions, please contact me. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> TJa`m_es D311ie <br /> Environmental Protection Specialist <br /> m\ose\kmg\SLelner1.JD1 <br />
