The questions are numbered in the same sequence as in the August 12 <br />letter and are shown in italics, with the Operator's responses provided immediately thereafter. <br />General responses to other observations or comments are not italicized. <br />Boundary Chance <br />(1) Please clarify how the 2.17-acre area of the access roads is delineated, i. e., if it is based <br />only on the gravel surface or if it also includes cut and fill slopes, borrow ditches, etc. <br />Response: The road was surveyed by traversing it with an All Terrain Vehicle ("ATV") <br />carrying a Global Positioning System receiver taking "continuous" readings. The road <br />configuration presented on the map portrays the approximate full disturbed azea of the <br />access road, including borrow ditches and side slopes, but there are local irregularities <br />that are not depicted at the level of detail of the survey work. <br />(2) Also, please clarify if the roads contain culverts (additional to the one shown on the <br />map). <br />Response: The only culvert on the Topaz Mine access road is the on shown on the 1" _ <br />100' TOPAZ MINE site map, just to the west of the site gate. <br />Reclamation Plan <br />(3) If these concrete details are known, please provide them so that costs may be calculated. <br />Response: The shop floor slab is generally 4 inches thick, although there maybe areas of <br />slightly thicker concrete due to irregularities in the substrate during placement of <br />
