I looked over the O C Mine
files to see what we did there. To follow a similar process at Twin Pines
and get to the Board in May, we need to do something like this:
4/8-12 Barb inspects the mine and writes NOV(s)
Hydro monitoring, insurance, records maintenance might be eligble
topics for the NOV's.
4/16 FTACO- The NOV's will need short abatement periods.
4/16 Get a letter from Twin Pines declaring their "inability to comply".
4/18 Show Cause Order
4/18 Mail public notices of Board hearing to newspaper.
Get a letter from Twin Pines asking to consolidate hearings for NOV,
CO and Show Cause into one hearing.
5/22 & 23 Board Hearing
Can the three of us get together briefly on Friday afternoon to discuss this?
If not, how about Monday?
Barb, any problem with getting down to Canon City next week?
You should rebiew the OC Mine enforcement files from December, 1995 to see
what we did so you can do it, too. There are 3 files (NOV, CO and Shwo
Cause) in Dudash's old office.
