The Bjorks aze the principals of the Big <br />Sky Ranch, LLC, the title Owners of a parcel within the Ranches at Five Pines. The Bjorks wish to <br />individually reinforce the comments and concerns raised by The Ranches at Five, Pines, and adjacent <br />property owners, and formally do so by way of this letter. ~ ' <br />The Bjork's own property in The Ranches at Five Pine Mesa. The Bjork property is in close <br />proximity to the gravel pit operated by King Mountain Gravel, LLC ("King.Mountain") that is at issue <br />in the above-referenced proceeding. The Bjork's wish to express their concerns to the Permit <br />Conversion Application. <br />If the proposed expansion is approved, the value of their land and their use and enjoyment of it <br />will be adversely affected. The Colorado Division of Wildlife has stated that "There is an extremely <br />high probability that significant negative impacts will result to species of special.concem, interest, or <br />.economic importance associated wi-th those habitats found on the proposed site or those properties <br />adjacent to the proposed site" if the gravel pit is approved. The Colorado Division of Wildlife has <br />stater that,"There is an extremely high probability that significant negative impacts will result to <br />species of special concern, interest, or economic importance associated with those habitats found on <br />the proposed site or those properties adjacent to the proposed site" if the gravel pit is expanded. The <br />land is used for recreational purposes, including hiking, hunting and horseback riding. This land is in a <br />prime wildlife comdor. Hunting revenue supports much of the local economy. The reduction of that <br />recreational use will have a related negative economic effect. <br />The Bjork property is located in Egeria Pazk, ahighly-valued scenic area that is enjoyed by guests <br />from around the country and in fact around the world, for its wildlife, aesthetic beauty, and ecological <br />
