Mining, Inc., I appreciate your promptness
in forwarding the AVS computer printouts. Sergent is not
an officer, director, employee or shareholder of Bowie
Resources Limited. He is a management Consultant to a
company awned in part by Larry Addington, the president of
Bowie. Mr. Sergent~s name and title were misstated in the
North Fork Times article. Mr. Sergent has no knowledge of or
affiliation with Hesco, Inc., the company with whom a Harold
E_ sargent is linked in the AVS system. Even if the matter
were relevant to Sowie's status in the AVS system, and it is
not since Mr. Sergent does not own or control Bowie or the
Bowie Mine, Bowie does not believe Mr. Sergent is linked to
any AVS violations.
Second, I have determined that Bowie entered into an
agreement, after the transfer of Permit No. C-81-038 to Bowie
was approved, with M.A.G. Mining, Inc. under which M.A.G.
would hire and supply a portion oP the employee work force
for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. Under the terms of the agreement,
the M.A.G.'s employees are to perform and discharge their
duties under the direction and supervision of Bowie and its
