Ms. Kate Pickford/DMG - F Street Soil Contamination/Closure Request
Project Number 1001018 Pl~~l~C~i~N
March 11, 2003
Page 3
Based on the modeling performed using BP RISC, it does not appear that significant impacts
to groundwater would occur by leaving the residual soil contamination in place, i.e. the level
of risk is acceptable. It is our opinion that additional monitoring, assessment or abatement,
including excavation of residual soil contamination, is not warranted at the site at this time.
On behalf of Aggregate Industries, we request that DMG reconsider the requirement for
either additional soil excavation or additional groundwater monitoring (after cessation of
dewatering) and we request that DMG grant site closure for the 2001 diesel-fuel release.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us. We look
forward to your written response regarding our request for site closure.
Sincerely,
PP,•R:4GON CONSULTING GROUP, INC.
~:
=Scgit A.
