Final side slopes on areas we hove disturbed eat a 3 to 1
steepness is acceptable. There ere some slopes within the
permitted nree steeper than 3 to 1 which mill not be
disturbed.
2. We agreed to divert off site drainage
around the reclaimed slopes. This
accomplished by sweles et the top of the
3. Any saline or sodic material will not be
materiel to be used during reclamation.
mixing any of this material, if it exist
used in reclamation.
from uF~lend areas
diversion will be
reclaimec. slopes.
mixed in final soil
Rlso we will avoid
~, with fines to be
4. We agree that the reclamation time period may be
constrictive and that 3 to 4 years should be allowed for
reclamation success. In our revised exhibit L., which is
attached you'll see that we have 10 acres of reclamation in
moderate disturbance and 30 acres of reclamation in minor
disturbance. In regard to Sncreasing the me7or disturbance
to give more room for increase rate of mining, we would
prefer to leave it at 10 acres. If more mayor disturbances
we required because of market demands, we would submit a
technical revision to the permit at that time.
5. The topsoil will be pushed by a dozer for a distance varying
from 100 feet to 300 feet. In re£erring to appendix A-2 of
Mr. O'Connor's memo of March 14, 1983 regarding heavy
equipment costs, we suggest that the coat of this topsoiling
should be 5.65 per cubic yard. We agree that the seeded
area should be mulched with two tons of straw pez acre. In
the past we have been using the figure of 5300 per acre for
seeding, fertilizing, and mulching. This cost ie reflected
in our revised exhibit L.
...,,.,. ~ ~.. ~ c ~~,, non ne...,e,- r,~i.,,-..a.. an-~oo na-~ cc~~
