Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
Technical Revision Application (TR-10/2), Fountain Colony
On Mazch 7, 2001, the Division approved the Fountain Colony pit technical revision application
that increased the required financial warranty to $137,000 to provide funds for the removal of
concrete pads and one steel building. To date, the increase in bond has never been received so,
therefore, the technical revision approval is not final. And, as a result, the proposed installation
of concrete foundations and one steel building is not allowed. If the foundations and steel
building have been installed, the operator could be in possible violation of the approved permit.
Please remit the $45,000 bond increase within 60 days from the date of this letter.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at 303-866-4060.
Sincerely,
,~ ,~,`~"
James Dillie'~
Envirorunental Protection Specialist
cc: Harry Posey (e-mail) ~
Suzi Ericksen
Enclosure
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation ARive and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
