NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology would like to provide the <br />opportunity for a public hearing on disturbance ~.aithin 100 feet of the <br />right-of-way of Colorado Highway 69 at the Colorado Coal Mine No. 1. The <br />operator, Kaiser Steel Resources, graded and seeded an area less than <br />0.2 acres in extent within 100 feet of the outside right-of-way boundary line, <br />as part of final closure of reclamation activities at the site. The public <br />hearing would afford interested individuals the opportunity to comment on the <br />disturbance per C.R.S. 34-33-114(2)(g)(IV). <br />The Colorado Coal Mine No. 1 operation is located in Huerfano County, <br />approximately one mile north of Walsenburg, Colorado. The affected area is <br />located in SE 114 NW 114 of Section 25, Township 275, Range 67'W, 6th P.M. <br />These lands may be located on the U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute quadrangle entitled <br />Walsenburg North. <br />Persons with an interest in a public hearing to be held in late August, 1992 <br />should contact Cathy 8egej with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology <br />by 5:00 p.m. August 13, 1992.
