<br />January 27, 1997 <br />T.H.E. -Amendment Application <br />PAGE 3 <br />ditches and control measures to route runoffwaters across the access road into <br />and out of the proposed sediment and detention ponds. Also, please provide <br />cross sectional designs of the ditches and other control measures to be <br />installed. <br />17. The engineering designs for the collection ditches, diversion channel, and <br />emergency spillways for sediment ponds 1, 2, 3, and 4 need to include the <br />depth and material sizing of a filter blanket to be used as a found~ition beneath <br />the riprap. Please provide. <br />(The S.W.M.P. details show specifications for material sizing and filter blanket <br />for only the Pond 5-7 spillways) <br />19. Prior to approval of the amendment application the applicant will need to <br />supply a copy of the finalized agreement pertaining to the alternative haul <br />road between the City of Canon City and Tezak Heavy Equipment Company. <br />This information is vital to the amendment application as it demonstrates <br />T.H.E., Inc.'s right of entry to the proposed haul road and comclor. <br />20. The Division requests that the applicant provide itemized costs for ripping & <br />discing of compacted areas, cost for installation of highwall safety controls, <br />removal of the scale & scale building, removal of the upper U2 of the existing <br />haul road, and the number of pieces of non-roadable construction or mining <br />equipment/vehicles that will be removed during final reclamation. <br />Please call me at (303) 866-3567 if you have any questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~ii~22J2~ <br />Thomas A.
