Progress Report on Tatum House Subsidence issues Page 6
Apri] 12, 1995
Tatum House Model
The final step was to take these adjusted parameters and apply them to a Tatum
House Model. The differences in the models are related to the width of the
underground excavation, and the depth of mining. These modifications change the
situation of the width to depth ratio from subcritcal at the Allen Mine to
supercritical at the Tatum House.
Figure T-1 is the results of this model computation, Figure T-2 is the mine model
generated by the program, and Figure T-3 is the subsidence curve. Prediction point
#1 is located 100 feet in back of the mining face, prediction point #t 9 is located at a
point 400 ft in front of the mining face. There is significant subsidence projected at
point #9, the estimated location of the Tatum house.
