Long
Weston, CO 81091 Division Director
RE: Extension of CV-2002-002, Lorencito Canyon Mine, #C-98-084
Mr. Bentley:
I have reviewed the FAX from Robin Torres concerning the status of NOV CV-2002-
002. It appears that of 31 owners listed, all but one (Jiarsco) has been mailed
notification and you are awaiting return of the signature receipt on eight others,
including Orlando Gonzales. CDOT was included on Attachment B of the violation but
not included on your list. Please include CDOT on further updates.
Based on the efforts to date, the status provided, and remaining difficulties with
absentee landowners, the Division extends the abatement date for CV-2002-002 to April
18, 2002. Please find the extension enclosed.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Kent Gorham
Environmental Protection Specialist II
Enclosure (1)
