Dan }lernandez - 2 - December 6, 1989
18 - The 2:1 slope, as indicated on the November 29, 1989 Area 4 cross
section, should be continued to station 2 + 36,8. The slope should then be
graded so that a shallow concavity is created from station 2 + 36.8 to the
limit of disturbance. This configuration will achieve the most sizable
landform in terms of erosion and surficial stability.
19 -Given the Castle response to item number 13, and the field survey which
resulted in the new areas 2, 3 and 4 cross sections, the response to item
number 19 is acceptable.
23 - The Castle Concrete response did not provide the Division with much
information which would be useful in calculating the estimated cost of
implementing the proposed corrective action plan. I will estimate the cost of
implementing the corrective action plan given the information available in the
cross sections, maps and discussions submitted to date. This cost estimate
will be available on December 13, 1989.
SGR/yjb
1967E
