NOV- 8-93 MON 14:17 WATERW AS TEtLAND P 02 <br />• • <br />Exhibit B <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />This Scope of Work summarizes work to be performed by Water, Waste & land, Inc., (WWL) <br />on behalf of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology IDMG) at the Battle Mountain <br />Resources, Inc., IBMRII San Luis Project. <br />TASK LIST <br />Task 7 -- Famlliarizatlon with Approved Plan. Review of pertinent documents provided by <br />BMRI; discussions with DMG staff as needed to provide additional technical clarification. <br />Task 2 -- Field Construction Oversight. Initial site visit and preparation of a construction <br />oversight schedule for DMG concurrence; actual oversight to include observation of <br />construction, with weekly updates of construction activity and immediate notification of DMG <br />about construction activities of concern; recommendations to DMG regarding daily or seasonal <br />suspension of construction due to weather conditions. <br />Task 3 •- Oversight of Feld Testing Program. Review of current and previous construction <br />quality assurance testing and test results; opinions concerning the adequacy of {esting and <br />validity of test results provided to DMG on a weekly basis; no additional tests by WWL staff. <br />Task 4 -- Review of Related Technical Submittals. Review technical documents prepared by <br />BMRI as directed by DMG; provide technical opinions concerning the documents to DMG. <br />Task 6 -- Review of Final Construction Certifications. Review the certification document for <br />Phase 2, Stage I construction as directed by DMG; provide technical opinions concerning the <br />documents to DMG. <br />Task 8 -- Participation in Meetings with BMRI. Participate in meetings with DMG; BMRI, and <br />other parties as directed by DMG. <br />KEY PERSONNEL <br />CLINTON L. STRACHAN -- Project Manager responsible for directing project and coordinating <br />WWL staff, primary contact for communication with DMG. <br />DOUGLAS O. GIBBS -• Responsible for field construction oversight and field construction <br />testing; assist with review of documents and data as directed by Project Manager. <br />Mr. Strechan end Mr. Gibbs will be assisted on an as-needed basis by other WWL staff. <br />ESTIMATED COST <br />Given the unknown duration of individual tasks, costs were not estimated on a task-by-task <br />basis. Project invoices will be prepared on a time and materials basis using the unit rates <br />shown in Table A-1. The upper limit of project costs, 830,000, is estimated bused on the <br />amount of time presumed available to complete construction activities and the unit rates. This <br />upper limit will not be exceeded without prior, written approval by the DMG and BMRI. Labor <br />and reimbursable costs will be allocated to tasks to allow post-project review of costs on a <br />task-by-task basis. <br />
