Burgmaier 1993
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology ~~~ 3
1313 Sherman Street, Rm # 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Ms. Burgmaier:
Enclosed are three (3) photographs showing the drainage pattern of runoff from the shop facilities.
The photos were taken in the summers of 1979, 1986 and 1993. The drainage from the shop
facilities and the coal stockpile azeas use this same route in all of the photos. The shop facilities
drainage passes along the west side of the haulroad (south of the shop) while the coal stockpile and
bucket repair house drainage passes through culvert E-12 and joins the drainage on the west side of
the haulroad.
The 1979 and 1986 photos show the drainage being routed along the haulroad, through the culvert
at the explosives magazine and directly west to the old pit. The 1993 photo shows the drainage
continuing to be routed through the same ditch (the haulroad was realigned), through the culvert
and then routed along the explosives magazine to the south end of the pit (the proposed location of
the drop structure).
Should you have any questions or require additional information regarding the enclosed
information or the permit revision, please contact David Beverlin at the Edna Mine at your earliest
convenience.
Sincerely,
~~~~,,.~
Brian D.
