Mr. Yance Miils - 2 - June 9, 1988
Please understand that while we recognize the disturbance was not caused by
you, our rules do not allow disturbance to the mined area without written
Division approval. It may therefore be necessary to bring this matter to the
Mined Land Reclamation Board fora decision on what action to take.
The Division is more than willing to assist in whatever way it can under
existing Colorado law to secure a quick resolution to the problem. We have
spoken to Mr. Lane Baker, Baldwin's representative in Trinidad to acquaint him
with the situation. At his request, a map was provided on which he will
indicate the extent and nature of the disturbance planned for the area. That
map will be made available to you, should you desire, as soon as it is
returned. At this point, however, there is nothing more specific in the way
of assistance that we can provide without some indication from you of your
intentions, ie, what you may be considering or possibly have chosen to do.
Please advise us in this regard.
Sincerely,
Jaya ~ ~~-~
James C.
