From the years 1990 to 1992 pH is gradually dropping from 8.1 <br />to avg of 7.1 (a magnitude of 10). Mine inflow stations <br />affected are numbers 4,5,6,8,14, and 17. <br />In general, inflow amounts are decreasing since 1990, but <br />should return to previous and even exceed previous as new <br />faces are mined by longwall operations in ever-increasing <br />amounts to meet new contract demands. Estimated at 100,000 <br />tone/month to begin June 1994. <br />Groundwater <br />1. When compared to data from 1990 (insufficient data from 1991), <br />mine water discharge at alluvial well PAW-7 indicates that the <br />ground water is returning to calcium bicarbonate downstream, <br />reflecting natural conditions, while increasing in sulfate <br />
