Camany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 9, 2006, an application to renew an existing permit to <br />conduct coal mining operations at Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from <br />this date of filing. <br />C.B. Minerals Company, LLC has applied for renewal of the DMG permit for the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine. The mine <br />is in permanent cessation status and no reinstatement of coal production or further disturbance have been proposed. <br />The renewal will allow continuation of approved reclamation work and monitoring activities. The underground coal <br />mine is on land located approximately 7 miles west of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />T6S, R91 W; Portions of Sections ]and ] 2 <br />T6S, R90 W; Portions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, I S and 16 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Storm King Mountain & New <br />Castle. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder, 108 <br />8th Street, Ste 200, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601.
