LonX <br />Division D~rea°r <br />Re: Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine (Permit No. C-84-065) <br />Technical Revision No. 11 (Eliminate GW Monitoring) <br />Dear Mr. Holbrook: <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on June 13, 1995, a <br />technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining operations <br />by NCIG Financial, Inc., P.0. Box 92401, Los Angeles, California 90009, was <br />deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods <br />as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from <br />this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the <br />Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine. The technical revision would allow the operator to <br />cease monitoring the alluvial wells, which are to be reclaimed. <br />The mine is located approximately three miles east of the town of New Castle, <br />Colorado; the loadout is located in Lacy, Colorado. The permit area is <br />located in portions of the following described lands: <br />Township 6 South, Range 91 West <br />Section l: Those lands in the NE/4 south of County Road 335, <br />Lots 3 and 4, S/2 S/2 NW/4 T6S, R90W. <br />Section 6: All lands south of County Road 335, a strip of land <br />approximately 400 feet long and 25 feet wide <br />originating just east of the gate to the mine north <br />of the County Road 335 and extending to the center of <br />the Colorado River. <br />7ownshio 6 South, Range 90 West: <br />Section 5: All lands in S/2 SW/4. <br />Section 8: All lands in N/2 N/2 SE/4, and NE/4 SW/4. <br />Section 9: All lands in S/2 NW/4, and SW/4. <br />Section 15: All lands in NW/4 . <br />Section 7: All lands in NE/4 and N/2 NW/4. <br />Section 12: All lands in N/2 NE/4. <br />Section 16: All lands in N/2 NE/4, NE/4 NW, <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle <br />map of Storm King Mountain. <br />
