<br />Mouetaie Coal Company <br />Weft Elk Miee <br />Interim Certification Sediment Pond MB-2R <br />Stephen A. Keeler, P.E,, is the Project Design Engineer for Induetriel Systems, Inc., <br />Mountaln Coal Company's Contractor responeibla fvr design sad construction of the <br />Phase III -Coal Storage Facilities, including Sediment Pond MB-2R. Mr. Kesler ie a <br />registered professional engineer in the elate of Colorado and has 25 years of design and <br />earth-work experience in cocutructioa. For the pact 25 years Mr. Kessler has been a <br />project design engineer and manager for numerous projects in the conaWction and mining <br />industries. <br />Pond MB-ZR is part of the designed and approved sediment control fratures found in <br />8xhibit 66 of Mountain Coal Compan~s, Mining and Reclamation Permit No. C-80-007. <br />Drawing No. G-104, Detention Pond MB-2R Plan and Dete9ls, in Bxhibit 66 shows the <br />cross-section of the pond, with the designed elevations and storage capacity of pond MB- <br />21t The outlet of the emergenry temporary culvert alignment is above the detention <br />storage elevation of 6114.75'. At this elovation the pond will etoro approximately 9.61 <br />acre feat, which ie greater than the 10-year, 24-hour runoff volume of 3.96 acre feet. It is <br />also greater then the 25-year, 24-hour ruoo~ff volume of 5.91 sue foal and the 100-year, <br />24-hour runoffvofume of 8.65 acre feet.
