The final pit highwall was blasted to help in highwall <br />reduction. Dozers graded the area in late September, 1994. The topsoil was rc-spread <br />from stockpile N and reseeded during October 1994. ARcr the snowmclt and heavy rains <br />during the spring of 1995, a large gully formed in the extended portion of 006-NE-I <br />drainage channel. Seneca personnel conducted the 1995 Rill & Gully monitoring, in May, <br />as required and submitted the maintenance plan [o the DMG (see attached cxcctpt), <br />During the sununer of 1995 rip-rap was placed in the eroded sections of the channel, <br />approximately 300 ft x 30 ft. and I50 ft. x 30 ft. Inspectors from DMG have mentioned <br />this specific arcs nine times since September, 1994. (Sec attache quotes from those <br />inspections.) <br />Seneca Coal Company • P.O.
