Somerset has decided to delay the construction of the Elk
Creek coal stockpile area and the loadout weigh system. Because it
may be a year of longer before these facilities are constructed the
$105,000 reclamation bond for the coal stockpile areas has been
allocated as follows to provide for incremental bonding:
East Yard Coal Stockpile,
Sedimentation Control & Sampling System $ 37,000
Elk Creek Coal Stockpile $ 50,000
Loadout Weigh System S 18.000
TOTAL $105,000
The details of this breakdown are shown on pages E-3, E-4, E-5
and 23.05-38iv. Somerset requests that the increase in the
reclamation bond for the east yard coal stockpile area, the
sampling system and the sedimentation control system be approved at
$37,000. Prior to initiation of any disturbance associated with
the Elk Creek coal stockpile or the loadout weigh system, the
reclamation bond will be increased by $50,000 and $18,000
respectively.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
,~:~_~/~
Jim Stover, P.E.
Consulting Engineer
cc: Basil Bear
