Vents <br />See Section 3.5.2 of Chapter 3, Mining Operations, for discussion. <br />4.7.3 Wells <br />Small diameter holes drilled will be abandoned pursuant to USGS <br />abandonment procedures. Also see Section 3.5.2 of Chapter 3. See <br />Appendicies A-7, A-19, A-24, A-27, A-29, B-2, C-2, and D-5 and '.Cable <br />4.8.1.D fora description of specific prodecures for reclaiming wells <br />installed as part of the operations described in these Appendicies. <br />4.7.4 Utilities <br />All surface facilities and structures that involved the placement of <br />utilities specifically serving the Mt. Gunnison No. 1 Mine will be <br />removed. The surface effects from placement of utility facilities <br />will be reclaimed using the methods described in Section 4.4 of this <br />Chapter. <br />See Appendix B-8 for a description of the reclamation of the power <br />line from the substation to the Sylvester Gulch Fan site. <br />4.8 Reclamation Costs <br /> <br />Table 4.8.1.A represents the estimated costs for revegeta.tion . <br />activities on a per-acre basis at the Mt. Gunnison No. 1 Mine Site. <br />These costs are expressed in terms of 1984 dollars; however, some <br />areas will not be scheduled for revegetation until mine clcsure <br />approximately 40 years from now. <br />Tables 4.8.1.B and 4.8.1.C represent the estimated costs and <br />calculations for the demolition of surface facilities. These costs <br />are expressed in terms of 1984 dollars. <br />The total from Tables 4.8.1.A and 4.8.1.B represent the amount to be <br />used in reclamation bonding calculations. Table 4.8.1.D contains <br />reclamation costs for drill hole SOM 128-H and a summary <br />of the current WECC reclamation bond status. <br />• <br />4-50 <br />
