MR-58 was submitted by Bowie Resources LLC (BRL) for an emergency de-gas drill
hole, pad and associated road. MSHA had shut down the Bowie No. 2 Mine due to the excessive
buildup of methane and BRL needed to de-gas the longwall face as soon as possible.
The revision was submitted and approved on May 26, 2005. Because of the time constraints, the
Division accepted BRL's reclamation cost estimate without review. However, Sandy wanted you to
double check the cost estimate.
Attached is one copy of the MR-58 revision submittal.. Because MR-58 has already been approved,
there is no specific deadline to consider. However, a timely review would be appreciated. Thanks!
Attachments
cc: Sandy Brown (without attachments)
caword/bowie2/mr58memo 1
Office of Office of ~ Colorado
Mined Land RErlamation Active and Inactive Mines GeologiLal Survey
