As you state the proposed changes under this technical revision aze minor and I will respond
to your letter in the order in which it was presented.
As you state the intent of the revision is to reduce the amount of permitted disturbance at any
one time, thus reducing [he required bond amount. We agree with your Revised bond recalculation
of $16,093.00
The following responses will be in order shown in your letter of August ] 0, 2001:
1) Our proposed revision does not seek to change the method of mining or the specifications
of the Reclamation plan, but simply [o reduce the affected sr~a. Nc disturbances related to the rail
spur will occur until needed and at that time the Division shall be notified. Your assumptions are
correct, and your bases of bond recalculation is also correct. Our plan is to mine the cells in
numerical order starting at Cell #l, then Cell #2 through Cell #4, at which time approximately the
year 2015, a new (TR) Technical Revision will be prepared to then proceed into Cell #5.
This TR-Ol will be used for the first four (4) cells. To clarify a statement in the TR Application we
do plan on disturbing more than ]0 Acres at any one time, it will be 13.]5 Acres which include the
access and haul roads, processing and stockpile areas, pond banks and pond surface. Please note that
the water supply plan for augmentation will be for 100 Acres of exposed groundwater.
2) The plan states that the topsoil will be stripped and salvaged for later use in reclamation.
The area stripped at any one time will not exceed 4.0 Acres.
"Your brand of People"
