Minor Revision No. 265
August 31, 1999
Page 2
casing, and open
hole
GGG 195 6-in. steel casing, Existing road 50' x 50'
4-in. PVC
casing, and open
hole
A culvert will be placed at the East Sylvester Gulch drill road to allow the drill rig to access FFF
and GGG. A stream crossing will also be required to access EEE. There is currently no flow in
the upper reaches of the East Fork of Sylvester Gulch. Topsoil will be windrowed along the road
to be constructed to access EEE, as has been done with other drill roads. Cut and fill to establish
the road to EEE will be kept to a minimum. Silt fence will be placed below the road, and
drainage will be established on the road by using road ditches and water bazs.
It is expected that water may be used for this drilling project. MCC plans to utilize our water
right in Sylvester Gulch and either pump or haul the needed water to the drill site.
Once the drilling has been completed, both of the culverts will be removed and low water
crossings established at both stream crossings to facilitate access for future monitoring. Once
monitoring is completed, MCC will seal the holes according to Rule 4.07.3 depending on
conditions encountered, and the casing will be cut down below grade. The road created to access
EEE will be backfilled and the windrowed topsoil replaced. The site will be hand seeded with
MCC's approved permanent seed mix.
MCC plans to begin the earthwork construction on September 13'". Drilling is expected to begin
later that week. The entire project should be completed by October 8ih.
Please call if you have any questions.
Clvistine E.
