Clearance or conditions from State Historic Preservation <br />Office (SHPO). <br />The operator has satisfied these concerns, from the Division's <br />standpoint, through clarification of maps and narrative, or by <br />modifying its proposed plan. <br />Wildlife impacts mitigation: <br />~ 1. Operations will not be carried out in the bottomland, <br />'~~/~ -v,.~~`( though originally proposed. Mining will occur eastward <br />~'7" to the toe of the slope, then stop. No topsoil <br />~ stockpiling will be done in the area east of the slope. <br />The south haul road (if it is used at all) will be <br />located along the toe of the slope, then enter the pit <br />where it has daylighted into the bottomland. <br />2. No cottonwood trees will be cut down, and operations will <br />be scaled back during certain times of the year, to <br />protect the locations and activities of roosting bald <br />eagles. This will be carried out in coordination with <br />Division of Wildlife. <br />3. The loss of woody vegetation and oakbrush on the affected <br />portion of the hillside will be offset by an attempt to <br />successfully transplant the oakbrush onto reclaimed <br />slopes in Phase I. <br />Maps, clarity and consistency: <br />1. The operator has provided updated versions of the mining <br />and reclamation maps, showing all items requested by the <br />Division. / <br />Wetland impacts: '~j~ <br />1. The operation will not enter the wetland. No mining, <br />stockpiling, or road construction will occur in this <br />vicinity.
