RE: Minor Revision 89-40; Minor Surface Modifications,
Colorado Yampa Coal Company. Permit C-81-071
Dear David:
As you know, the recent minor revision field approval
allows Colorado Yampa Coal Company (CYCC) to conduct three
separate activities:
1) Move the existing guard shack to Twentymile Coal
Company's employee parking area;
2) Install a 12 inch steel pipe across the Shop Access/
Haulroad, above Pond F; and
3) Remove the existing silt fence at the small area
exemption below Tipple #2.
The guard shack will be moved to Twentymile Coal
Company's (TCC) employee parking area as shown on Map 24,
Surface Facilities. This map can be found within Volume 6 of
the C-82-056 permit document.
The steel pipe will be installed in the location shown
on Map 9A, Mines No. 1, 2, & Eckman Park, Hydrologic Features
and Sediment Control. Since the Shop Access/Haulroad is a
shared surface feature of CYCC and TCC, the location of the
12 inch steel pipe has also been denoted on Map 24 of the
C-82-056 permit document.
Regarding the silt fence, we had agreed that the
existing vegetative cover is adequate to treat the surface
drainage from the area. This area is addressed within the
Small Area Exemptions discussion of the C-81-071 Permit
Renewal Document. Page Permit Renewal 780-208-2 has been
revised to incorporate this minor revision field approval.
