Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division of Minerals and Geology has reviewed Sky Ute's submission of a Technical Revision to
include the Concrete Batch Plant as a permanent structure. The submission of the TR was in response to
the issue being raised during the June 19th, 2006 inspection of the site. At that time it was noted that
permanent concrete pylons had been constructed for the batch plant. The details of the construction of
the site and structure are adequate. Therefore, staff is pleased to inform Sky Ute that TR-O1 is approved.
A review of the Reclamation Liability was done in late 2004. Based on current conditions, staff feels
that an adjustment to the bond' is not warranted at this time. The additional tasks of removing the pylons
and disposing of them is less than what is approved for overall disturbance of the site to date. Staff may
adjust the bond after the next inspection.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone
no. 970-241-1117.
Sincerely,
G.
