MANAGEMENT <br />The DMG's preliminary adequacy review letter dated May 16, 2006 requested additional information. On <br />behalf of CAM MINING LLC, the following amended data are provided. New data is included as an add on to <br />the application for Technical Revision-15. The new data is part of the adequacy review comments for AHR <br />2005 and are specific to the effects of mine discharge on East Salt Creek surface and alluvium waters. <br />7) DMG -Figure 2.1-1 Mine Plan and Sequence Map was properly updated and amended to correspond <br />to permit text regarding the need for permit revision prior to future mining within or to the west of the <br />graben. Figure 2.2-1 Affected and Disturbed Areas was properly amended to delineate proposed and <br />current affected areas. Text on pages 2-59 and 2-60 was amended to correspond to amended tables and <br />text in other sections of the application. There is still one remaining discrepancy; the map scale on <br />amended Figure 2.2-1 is still listed as 1" = 1000'. Please revise Figure 2.2-1 to list the correct map <br />scale. <br />CAM -Revised Figure 2.2-1 to list the correct map scale <br />9) DMG -Text and map figures and supplemental documentation was provided as requested to delineate <br />the powerlines within the permit area and to clarify the powerlines within the permit area and to clarify the <br />powedine sections that will be removed upon reclamation of the mine. The Division had requested <br />Documentation that powerlines were constructed in compliance with rule 4.18, to minimize electrocution <br />hazards to raptors. Correspondence from Grand Valley Power indicated that "most of the line was <br />constructed to these standards' but that a review of the installations would be conducted and any <br />necessary modifications would be made. Please provide documentation that any necessary <br />modifications have been made. Also, please amend the Protection and Control section of the <br />Wildlife Plan, on page 4-31, to specify the transmission facility design specifications implement to <br />comply with 4.18(4). <br />CAM -Amended page 4-31 to incorporate the fact that power lines were constructed in compliance with <br />Rule 4.18(4). Steve Don, Manager of Engineering with Grand Valley Power, confirmed that all poles have <br />been raptor protected. A letter should be forthcoming. Operator will submit letter from Steve Don in the <br />near future. <br />12) DMG -The version of 2.2-2, Surface Facilities that we received was not amended to delete Culvert <br />"F"and and to include Culver "P" as requested and as indicated in the response cover letter. Please <br />provide an amended version of the figure with the requested updates. <br />CAM -See attached copy of Figure 2.2-2. <br />
