In-row <br />spacing between shrubs will be less than 8 feet and between row spacing will be less than 10 feet. <br />One of these 2/10 acre thicket areas will be used for each 1.5 acres of the upper shelf areas. Since <br />the shelves are 40 feet wide, the upper shelf width (above water) is 20 feet wide. This provides for <br />13.3% of the upper shelf areas planted with shrub/tree thickets.
