Banta, <br />Division Director <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Mined Land Reclamation Division hereby issues notice that on <br />July 23, 1991, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal <br />mining operations, File No. C-81-025 (TR - 11), by MINREC, INC., 743 Horizon <br />Court, Suite 205, Grand Junction, CO 81506, was deemed complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act <br />and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations in Pitkin <br />County in Sections 34 and 35, Township 6 South, Range 89 West, 6th P.M. (mine <br />site), and in Garfield County in Section 6, Township 8 South, Range 88 West <br />and Sections 20, 29, 30, and 32, Township 7 South, Range 88 West, 6th P.M. <br />(loadout and haui road). <br />The revision was submitted in response to the Division's midterm review of the <br />permit. Proposed modifications to the permit are necessitated by changes to <br />the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, <br />and include: <br />- Modify spillway design for one sediment pond; <br />- Change in legal, financial, and compiiance information <br />- Remove a portion of previous haul road ton prime farm landb from <br />reclamation plan at landowner request <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Stony Ridge and Carbondale. A copy of the technical revision <br />application is available for public inspection at the Pitkin County <br />Courthouse, 506 East Main, Aspen, CO, and at the Garfield County Clerk and <br />Recorder, Garfield County Courthouse, 109 8th Street, Glenwood Springs, <br />Colorado 81602.
