The revision
adds the Lone Pine Mine Water Treatment Pond to the mine's permit.
If there is a water depletion associated with the addition of this pond that
has not previously been consulted on with the Service, formal section 7
consultation should ensue. The Division of Minerals and Geology should
determine the amount of water depletion in acre-feet and contact the Office of
Surface Mining, Reclamation, and Enforcement so that they can initiate formal
section 7 consultation with the Service.
If the Service can be of further assistance, please contact Terry Ireland at
the letterhead address or (970) 243-2718.
Sincerely,
pc: FWS/ES, Lakewood
CDOW, Grand Junction
FISH AND WILDLIFE SEFVICE
Ecologial Services
W'atcrn Colorado Ohm
7Gd Horizon Dnv<.
