The permit renewal was reviewed for conformance with the Mineral Leasing Act of <br />February 20, 1920, as amended, for development, production, maximum economic recovery, and <br />to applicable regulations of 43 CFR 3480. Since highwall miner reserves are being reduced a <br />modification to the existing Resource Recovery and Protection Plan (R2P2) and Logical Mining <br />Unit (LMU) will be required at this time.
