Sandra Brown
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203-2273
RE: Seneca II-W Mine Permit C-82-057, NOV No. CV-2001-002
Dear Ms . Brown:
Enclosed is Check No. 0738674 payable to the Division in the
amount of $1, 850 . 00, the total penalty amount for Notice of
Violation CV-2001-002 .
Abatement of this NOV required Seneca to remove the blasted
material/flyrock from the undisturbed areas . Because of the
steepness of the slope that most of this material was deposited
on and the fact that until all snow cover has melted and the
ground conditions dry out, Seneca has been unable to do the
necessary work. Once ground conditions allow, equipment and
operator safety is no longer in jeopardy, and the equipment can
work and maneuver without causing further unnecessary damage, we
will conduct the remedial work required.
Please contact me if you or any other members of the Division
have any questions concerning the payment of these civil
penalties .
Sincerely,
'A. a
Michael G.
