The monitoring operations would be conducte by John <br />Shomaker, Inc. of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jim Toli ano has <br />agreed to participate in the project as a sub-contra ted <br />Associate of John Shomaker, Inc., and will be respon ible for <br />ensuring that reliable and thorough field sampling a d data <br />collection is conducted; samples are properly delive ed to our <br />certified laboratory; and community needs for inform tion or <br />other services are fully met during the life of the roject. The <br />technical specialist supervising data collection, an lysis, and <br />interpretation will be Mr. Robert Newcomer of John 5 omaker, Inc. <br />Resumes for Mr. Newcomer and Mr. Tolisano are includ d with this <br />transmission. <br />John W. Shomaker, Inc. specializes in solving groundwater <br />related problems including those associated with pre ent and past <br />mining operations. We have been working for the pas two years <br />for Pegasus Gold Corporation's Ortiz Project JV, We~have <br />conducted hydrogeologic studies in support of discha ge permits, <br />water rights applications, resource assessments and ewatering <br />for proposed mining operations. We have also evalua ed ground- <br />water contamination problems associated with past mi ing <br />activities; this includes assessments of environment 1 impacts <br />caused by acid-rock drainage and cynanide-nitrate-me al ground- <br />water contamination. <br />While we do conduct our own field sample collectionsp we do not <br />maintain our own laboratory analysis facilities. Al of our <br />samples are delivered overnight to Analytical Techno ogies, Inc. <br />(ATI), an EPA-certified laboratory located in Tempe, Arizona. <br />ATI has provide our and many other firms with the hi hest quality <br />analyses of soil and water samples for many years. <br /> <br />,SUN 41992 <br />Mined Land <br />Redamaf~nn n^~'~~~n <br />
