-•
David Berry
September 26, 1988
Page 2
the runoff will be routed along the road to Channel PG-60-1, then explain
how the runoff will be managed to avoid excessive erosion along the road.
Also, has tiie 36 inch culvert been sized to accommodate the upland drainage
originating in Area 26, and will Channel PG-60-1 withstand the added flow?
CYVCC RESPONSE:
Drainage from the upper reaches of Area 26 will flow to either Channel
9/10-2 or 60-1, depending on the final drainage divide. Flow that does not
merge with PG-9/10-2 will flow along the post-mining ranch road to PG-60-1.
Ditches adjacent to the road will continue to be maintained and managed to
avoid excessive erosion.
As we have discussed, the sizing of the 36 inch culvert and associated
channel of PG-60-1 has been designed to accommodate a 552 acre drainage area
and a 100 year 24 hour storm event. Documentation can be found within the ~lL
original C-81-071 permit document. ~
Please feel free to call me if you have additional questions or require
more information.
