DMG requested clarification
on discrepancy between cut and fill volumes. On 3/20/95, DMG received written
response (phone responses received during first two weeks in March) with TerraMatrix
cut/fill isopach map. TerraMatrix cut/fill volumes stated:
Total Cut 345,600 cY
Total Fill 425,600 cY
If material from road embankment in Bush Draw is added to TerraMatrix cut volumes:
Pit 1 Cut 345,600 cY
Bush Embankment 27,000 cY
TOTAL Cut 372,600 cY
Total Fill 425,600 cY
Material Deficit 53,000 cY
I asked Mr. Leidich if TerraMatrix was expecting 15% swell of the 372,600 cY to account
for the 53,000 cY deficit. He replied that some of the 372,600 cY would swell, but that an
accurate estimation was difficult to obtain since some of the material had been recently
disturbed.
