DESIGNATED MINING OPERATION <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION PLAN <br />This Exhibit, through reference to the Sections itemized below as contained in the <br />accompanying Project Description, describes how CC&V will assure compliance with <br />the provisions of the Act and Rules in order to protect areas that have the potential to be <br />affected by designated chemicals, toxic or acid-forming materials, or acid mine drainage. <br />In addition, the plan includes an Emergency Response Plan that complies with 34-32- <br />103(4.9) and 34-32-116.5(5), C.R.S. 1984 as amended, and Rule 8.3, for designated <br />chemicals used on site, and appropriate measures for the protection of wildlife from <br />damage from designated chemicals, toxic or acid-forming materials, and acid mine <br />drainage. <br />The Exhibit is comprised of information in the following sections of the Project <br />Description contained in Volume I of this application: <br />Section 5.0 Mining and t~perations Management Plan <br />Section 6.0 Valley Leach Facility <br />Section 7.0 Precious Metals Recovery Facility <br />• Section 8.0 Support Facilities <br />Section 9.0 Surface Water Management <br />Section 10.0 Monitoring <br />Section ] 1.0 Reclamation and Closure <br />Section 13.0 Environmental Protection Plan/Emergency Response Plan <br />T-1 <br />
