I truly hope this will answer your concerns about
my TR-1 application.
I am asking for a "YES or NO" answer this time. As I feel that we
have gone back and forth on this matter long enough it is almost a year
now. It was May 11, 2000 when you made your first inspection for the
closing of my Quarry.
I fell my engineers have adequately addressed your questions; this
is not a dangerous site, it has set there for 14+ years and nothing has
moved, it seems reasonable to think it can set for another 100 years, if
I follow the Technical Revision Plans.
The survey Hubs you asked for are a bad idea as it would destroy my
reasons for closing, I want to recover my Financial Warranty and get rid
of my Annual Permit Fee and Report.
If you turn this down I will have no choice but to keep operating it
as long as I live. I would not like to do that, and I'm sure the Mesa
County would not like me to keep it open.
So look it over good, take another 30 days if you like, but give
me a "YES~'or NO';~ on this TR-1.
.~, ...,,
Thank You,

John Schmahl APR?0 2/M.
J e &mMt S chma h 10 O 1 O,v~u~ gM;Qe,°iv Byu~4u~~juer
2301 River Road
Grand Junction, CO 81505
